You cannot get QF to work because there is no Business saver award availability on those flights currently.
If you are thinking of booking KE outbound and pairing it with another flight inbound to make a round-trip do not wait. If you wait until the return is available for booking the outbound availability likely will be taken by someone else. Just book a dummy return for now on any flight on any day past your arrival day and change the return later when availability for your real date becomes available. You could also book just the one-way outbound and call-in later to add the return and re-price but I believe you would have to call-in to do that. Booking a dummy return you might be able to change it on the website. It might be a moot point anyway as most of the KE I see from LAX is Economy for the TPAC.
