Yes they are treated separately. Make two steps. Book a reservation with 2 funds plus credit card. Cancel it immediately and refund the credit card part. Now you have one new fund and one of the original three funds. Book again with those two funds and credit card (or gift card, since Costco still has the $450 fo $500 gift card deal running).
