I think it probably was. They've been using these dry leased CX planes on the MLE and HKG routes for a while now.
You can tell if it's a CX plane as the business seat map as 15A is kind of offset on its own. Though I believe currently all the MLE flights are CX aircraft.
We've ended up with only 1 of the 4 legs now on Q Suite as our LHR-DOH was changed to an A380 months ago.
Understand. But a month or so ago I got an email saying that there was an equipment change from a Q Suite 777 to a CX dry lease 777 without.
I changed my seats then (from middle seat that were together, to 2 windows). But that did not change the flight number or the time.
I was confirmed on my original flight number, operating at the original time -- but with a different (CX) seating map.
A week out the timing changed from evening to morning. So I don't think they are related.
