I'd like to see the SEA parking garage reserve a couple of levels for short-term parking only . . . say, no more than 8 hours . . . "enforced" by punitive rates that would kick in after 8 hours. Usually, when dropping off or picking up passengers, I do it curbside. But sometimes, I like to go inside the terminal . . . for example, helping aging parents with luggage or general airport navigation, or when the arrival or departure is "emotional" and it seems appropriate to do a sendoff or welcome that is more substantive than can be done at curbside. And it is frustrating when it is close to impossible to find parking in the garage for that objective.
SeaTac does have one floor dedicated to short term parking -- Floor 4 is "Terminal Direct" and has higher LT parking rates than other floors. Short term rate is $7/hour.
