Comments: Older SpringHill Suites. Rooms still comfortable if a bit dated. Greeted nicely by front desk and recognized as Titanium member. Offer free bottled water throughout my stay in addition to welcome points. Serving area for Breakfast buffet is very cramped. It was made worse by one of the two entrances being blocked off by a cordon (not sure why). The net result was both people entering and leaving the buffet had to squeeze by each other in a very tight space in front of the coffee service area. Was congested most of the time. Breakfast was a poor rendition of the standard SHS offering. Watery oatmeal and no fresh fruit. On the positive side coffee was good and yogurt selection was good. It was Navy Commissioning Week, so this was a good choice versus the Westin closer to downtown where rates were very high. Probably try The Westin next time instead unless the rates are high and would use the SHS as a fallback again.
