Because they are usually pretty efficient and after 6 months I would bet that your problem is not SIA, but your bank.

I put in a refund request in Jan. I started badgering them via phone in March and found out that the refund had been rejected but they never bothered communicating it to me. Luckily, I have always managed to get an SG person on the line within a few minutes. Good luck!
