I too returned after 2-3 years away. I was really surprised how much the service suffered and now that you mention it, the menu was kind of limited.
I did not the service was too attentive in restaurant during breakfast but even worse in the library/lobby lounge.
I went for drinks once and dinner once and I while polite, I find them really inattentive. No one really monitored for refills and there were lots of forgotten items like condiments, etc.
The hotel lacked the polish it once had at least in the public areas.
