Yeah, who knows how many people they've misled into thinking that MH has the right to retain any monies paid for airport taxes, or didn't have the will to challenge. The experience was like talking to someone who doesn't understand the basics. The CSO kept repeating "that's what our terms and conditions say" and even had the audacity to interchangeably refer to them as "our rules and regulations".

Total nonsense. Only governments make rules. And whatever terms that an airline creates are illegal if they breach the law. The airline merely collect taxes as an agent of the government, so keeping it without forwarding the proceeds to the government is illegal and goes against the purpose for which it was purported. I suppose in the end, the monies go towards boosting their bottom line...
