I have a flight from YYZ to BKK with a layover/connection in CDG with Air France. Wondering what my transit experience is going to be like(ie security, passport control, etc?) I don't know any of the gate letters/numbers, just know that it will most likely be Terminal 2E. I've also booked the airport hotel (Yotel?) on the way back (BKK->CDG->YYZ) as my layover is much longer. Again, I'm assuming it's going to be Terminal 2E but I'm wondering if I need to go through any type of security or passport control to get to Gates L where the hotel is. Just trying to plan as much as I can.

Any tips, suggestions, pointers, etc would be extremely helpful. First time flying Air France and flying into CDG. Also trying to avoid being stuck in an area with no food options
