This seat map gives a detailed and accurate drawing of where seats are located relative to the windows. Seats with the red backing are Comfort+. For any main cabin window seat, I try to look for a seat where my shoulders line up with the window so I have a little more room. The A350 has nice large windows so you can still see outside without having to turn your head that hard. So, for example, something like 35 A/J or maybe 36 A/J would be good, while 37 would line up with the wall space between windows, giving you less shoulder room. Of course, this is just my personal preference. As always being mid-cabin away from lavs and galleys is nice. If your friend is hoping for a bit of scenery on approach into SYD, I think the A seats are a little better, though I have great views from both sides of the plane on the various SYD trips I've done.
Thanks. I found 41A/J to to be the best but these exit row seats have upgrade fees. 35/36/A/J are taken already unfortunately.
