BREAKFAST - we went in with very low expectations after last night’s calamity, to be fair it was actually very nice, it was probably half full @ 8-30 this morning.
Hot food was hot and tasty served on hot plates too…… the selection was great and didn’t appear cut back like many of the other Hilton’s I’ve been to lately, nice selection of pastries and granola boats….nice cappuccino from the machine ( self serve) .
Only niggles was no spoons ( for cereal, had to ask ) and no Nutella for the waffles ( kids had honey instead) .
It was nice to finish with a cappuccino and pastry outside by the river in the sun .

CHECK OUT - swiftly done @ 10am, I went to front desk as one needs a parking token to exit car park, this was comped for me.

CONCLUSION - I’ve gave this some thought whilst driving home today, we enjoyed the stay and apart from the poor meal last night it was very good, I must say though that I got the feeling the staff was trying to hold this together, every time I walk past reception someone was complaining about something or other , lack of staff?, who knows.
Would I return?…yes I would as the view from the balcony over the Thames is very special, I also always sleep well here, maybe it’s the sound of the river lapping against the shore , who knows…..however I won’t be eating dinner here again so yes by all means stay but have dinner over in one of the many great restaurants in Canary Wharf.
