The problem with this currently is that the waiver is only valid for flights until 31st of August and I would book mine in autumn. I'm fully expecting this waiver to be extended.

If it is possible to fly on SIN->EU leg on SQ then why not book the flight from EU to Singapore on LX so that you can access FCT/FCL in Frankfurt and/or Zurich and book the return flight to Frankfurt on SQ. SQ operates on that route the A380 with the new suites and you can access the Private Room lounge in Singapore which will reopen soon. The SQ flight also has an LH codeshare (LH9763) and I can see on some days in Nov availability in booking class F
The original idea was to get my family on the SQ A380 suites on the connection from HKG to SIN. The second plan was then to somehow get the SQ A380 suites and combine them with NH F on the return, both times with a 20h+ layover in HKG/TYO. None of this is really feasible right now, although maybe, with the flexibility from the waiver I might be able to change if those become available again in autumn.

I personally like to fly a lot and if I had the choice I would do as many connections as possible, hence why I'm a bit obsessed with the intra Asia connection And as a side note, the additional miles might help me get SK Diamond this year, although this is only secondary.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm considering booking a temporary variation based on your suggestion, although with the option in mind to change the routing once again when the Ukraine waiver is extended and I'll have to change the flights away from KBP anyway. Maybe it'll even be possible to route in my stopover in HKG and Tokyo by then and who knows, maybe A380s and NH F will also be available. One can hope...
