The reason the guy at ORD didn't want to deal with it is that half of those bufoons don't know what Advance Parole is in the first place. If you are a married couple and one is a citizen while the other is not, you should both be allowed to go through the same line. BTW, I was allowed in and out of the country several times while I was on Adv Parole and I always used the Citizen line. My only problem was having to get Adv Parole from the INS in the first place - It was sheer torture, not being able to give those people a piece of my mind while they acted like they were doing me such a huge favor by processing my paperwork.
