Advice on dealing with AS baggage service?
Quick recap:
- Alaska loses my bag on a flight to SeaTac Saturday
- Sunday morning, they call saying they found it and want to deliver it. Great I say, come by any time. They do not come Sunday.
- Monday they call saying they will come between 5 and 6PM. OK I said, I will be here.
- Tuesday at 4AM they allegedly attempt to deliver it. Like many people, I am asleep at 4AM so the delivery fails.
- Because the delivery failed, I have to go pick it up at SeaTac. Their office is open 4:30AM-1PM.
- If I don't get it by tomorrow, they can't guarantee that they won't dispose of it.
This is all shocking to me. i have had other airlines lose my bag and it was always handled much more professionally.
Anyone have advice on what to do beyond get up crazy early and go to SeaTac tomorrow? Anything I can say to get them to agree to attempt a delivery during normal hours?
