I am communicating with this property regarding an upcoming stay and they are being kind of ridiculous. I am booked to fly home on AF268 which leaves at 9:10AM, which is purposely after the 9AM standard for seaplane flights to Male. The hotel is saying that their seaplane company can't guarantee same day departure and that I should move to a later flight and said that the earliest guaranteed flight is EK657 which is scheduled for...9:15AM. Wow, 5 minutes.
Hoping that once I'm on property I can just get this sorted out without issue. I told the agent via email that they can tell TMA we are booked on the EK flight if it makes things work better.
Could anybody confirm whether the seaplane company (TMA) still guarantees same-day departure
with respect to particular flights, as the post above suggests? I'm interested to learn whether there would be any issues next month with catching QR 677, which departs Malé at 10:20 AM. At least initially (I've since sent a follow-up email), the resort agent stated "we are unable to guarantee the seaplane timing," without further explanation and seemingly with respect to
any flight out of Malé.
