Are there any disadvantages booking the codeshare? I'm EXP but have no status on JetBlue... do I still get all my status benefits (upgrades, MCE, baggage, free SDC)?
EDIT: I booked it. The trip auto-populated in the AA app and I was able to select MCE for free but there isn't even an upgrade section. I'm going to give it a while to sort itself out and then off it doesn't auto-request it, call the EXP desk?
I just got off the phone with AA. I'm not eligible for upgrades but I do get the free checked bags and am eligible for same-day changes and standby.
It's probably worth losing the chance of the upgrade to save $60, especially since there's a decent chance that I change to a later flight (this is 6:30 am on a Saturday, JFK-PHX).
