Well then doors close, then I hear for them to open again. Then a little gap and a guy from Y walks up into Polaris (I am in prem). Then we get annouced that a passenger has decided not to take the flight and they need to find his bag to unload and we will be delayed. It seems likely it was the mask thing but wow if so!
Update on recent SFO-SYD flight - same clear direction/no nonsense announcements on way to SYD last week, no issues with folks complying. On return leg SYD-LAX now, and they announced after doors closed and we pushed back that passengers can choose to take them off. 70% of FA's and about half the passengers still wearing.
