I don't agree that they're useless. They're harder to use now, but the product you get, at least internationally, has improved too. Flagship lounges, all aisle lay flats etc. Back in the day of milesAAvers being dime a dozen, you got an NGBC 7 across 777 with a TV screen that was out of date when the it was installed.
