I saw a mention of this on the DB website a few weeks ago when I was purchasing an ICE ticket but forgot about it until this thread, so thanks OP, for reminding me! €9 for the whole month is certainly cheaper than €8.80 per day in Berlin, and then whatever it costs in the other cities I'm visiting. The ticket is now available on the DB app:
