I generally don't taint my flights with expiring funds and would rather let small balances expire worthless. I still would not do it even with WGA+. This is how I end up with tiny losses on my expiring funds.

Edit to add: Pre-COVID I would have tainted them since I was nearly guaranteed to use them up. Nowadays I cancel too many flights.
