I often have items under seat in front of me in an exit row. They’re just more picky that it can’t extend out beyond the seat, but there is no issue using it for storage as intended.
I stand corrected. Haven’t been in an Air Canada exit row for awhile but other carriers are very strict about it. Perhaps it is a European rule as that’s where I’ve usually seen it - particularly on LH. I assumed it was a broader industry-wide rule and not something set by each regulator and/or airline.
Quite surprised that Air Canada allows it as even if it properly under the seat, baggage could easily move in a crash and create a tripping hazard during an evacuation.
