About an hour before we depart on our long delayed Easter 2020 holiday. Flying long haul from Gatwick today, but last month flew from Manchester via Heathrow.

Maybe my expectations were low, from our previous experiences, but I have to say very, very happy.

We checked our luggage in last night using the Twilight check in. It was something we debated about whether we should or not, but glad we did.

So this morning, boarding cards in hand and hand baggage only we arrived into departures security, via Fast track straight to an empty security lane. No stress through there, couldn't see anyone having secondary screening.

Arrived at the lounge and got waved into the First lounge. Enjoyed a lovely Full English with perfect views of the runway.

The two experiences couldn't be poles apart, so thank you Gatwick and BA!
