Looking to fly my family of four from LAX to OGG in September for 6 days and we are super flexible, can go almost any week in Sep or Oct (although seems like better weather in September). And the first class seats on HA are around $3-4k EACH while other airlines (united, aa, etc) are closer to $1.6k. Am I missing something? Why the huge discrepancy?

I know HA has lie flat seats on this route which is why I want HA but not for 2-3x the price of a normal first class seat. Feel like it's worth 10-25% more since it's only a 5 hour flight but still crazy that the difference is so high.

(Also kind of strange that United/AA First is $1.6k but their economy tix are closer to $4-500. Lot of rich people traveling these days I guess huh? lol)
