Andaz is easily my favorite. Great breakfast and great globalist treatment. You are going to have to eat out other than breakfast though.

GH is a very nice hotel but I prefer the Andaz.

I'm not sure why you would not want to leave the hotel. The gaslamp is great and not particularly expensive (at least by CA standards). If you really want to not leave the hotel I would suggest a resort-type property (which you are not going to find in San Diego)
