I wouldn't take these buses unless you have minimal luggage and know where you're going from the bus stop. There are shared and private taxis that can be booked upon arrival (kiosks in baggage claim) that are faster, will take you directly to your destination, and are not expensive. I'd recommend using those instead of trying to deal with taxi drivers after exiting the customs and agricultural checkpoint, and I've found them to be easier than Uber - unless rules have changed since my last trip, which was pre-COVID, Uber drivers can't pick up within the airport, so you have to walk to meet them. I've never found it to be worth the hassle.

The Santiago metro doesn't reach the airport; there are two buses connecting the centre: Centropuerto goes to Los Heroes station via Pajaritos, and Turbus goes to Alameda (also via Pajaritos).
Back in 2019, my UK-issued cards were usable with no issues throughout Chile (maybe AMEX a bit less, especially in the North); I also had a French ATM card I could use with no issue to withdraw cash.
