In case you don't know, AA shows the dates available and lowest prices if you click the Calendar button. As you said I don't think you can change an award online, but they now let you cancel with no penalty and reticket online. I agree BA's site is cumbersome and doesn't even show availability for 1 week without clicking multiple dates.
