My experience is very limited and I wouldn't go as far as recommending anything, but I did have one last year that I enjoyed. It was from Georgia (the country rather than the US state ), Dugladze Kisi Qvevri Dry Amber. Never had the Kisi grape before, it was served as a pairing glass on a tasting menu, with a dish of stone bass, pumpkin and shellfish dashi. It was a pretty good match, and certainly not one that I would have thought of myself.
