The catering in 2K will be very similar to the catering in 2F. Both will be better than the catering in AMS. You will have to go through security if you transit in CDG whereas you will avoid security if transiting in AMS (as the US is a "secure" country.

Personally, all other things being equal, I would transit via CDG for the better lounge, notwithstanding the extra security check and notwithstanding the fact that 2K is not the nicest of the lounges these days (underground, and with limited natural light compared to the others), especially if the wait between flights is on the longer side and/or the time in the lounge is at lunch or dinner time.
You know what, Nick? I think I might need to try both eventually. I think you're convincing me to try CDG first, and this will be my first tatl flight in the COVID era.
