I was not aware that one can do National car rental through Chase and still get rental credits - I find those particularly useful for long one-day one-way rentals. Too bad if that opportunity is gone.

I did book a few trips through Chase including most recent PE to HNL and those posted as distance based. I have another trip from DEN on Jun 23 booked but now I do see the ticket price in aa.com. Will report in about a month how that trip would post.
