Indeed they did!
Got an email from the Magma Resort, offering a reimbursement of 20.000 points if cancelling or two options for relocation (Secret Views or Blue Zaffron) for the same price plus 5.000 points.

Thinking about it now and deciding over the weekend.

That's a good offer for the inconvenience, as it should have been from the beginning.
