So I am currently in the middle of stay here, checked in yesterday here are my current thoughts and experiences. If anyone wants me to checkout anything while I am here let me know.

I did online check in with the app and selected a room however I arrived early (about 1PM) and approached the front desk about pool access/ any chance room would be ready. There was a dedicated gold/platinum line which the crowd appeared to be following as I was the only person in it. They checked me in early but gave me a different room. I booked the 1K(ing) premium strip view room. The front desk said I didn't book a strip view room (I clearly did I have it in the email) but due to my gold status I was complimentary upgraded to the strip view room but if I wanted an upgrade to a suite I'd have to pay. Mind you I didn't mention ANYTHING about an upgrade at all. Next proceeded the most aggressive room upselling I have ever experienced in my life. I said I wasn't interested in paying but the check in agent went through 3 objections lowering the price each time, including the "I'll go speak to the manager and see what we can do" after my second no. I was given 2 bottles of water and a little card that explains how the food credit benefits work. I requested a digital key but it keeps telling me to go to the front desk. I have been back 3 times to request it to be fixed (don't want to have to carry the key card at certain times) and it still isn't working.

Beyond the strange check-in experience, the hotel room is nice but it certainly isn't a conrad. It feels like an average Hilton, the bed is really comfortable though. The pool complex is pretty good, I stayed at both the Elara and Encore this trip and I'd say the pool is better than both those hotels. The only thing Encore probably does better on the weekend there is a DJ by the pool which creates a good vibe. For the actual hotel floor/ casino lobby it certainly is a bit bland I feel like I'm in a shopping mall with pokies. There is no soul, vibe or theme here. I really think they should do more with the actual hotel as there is plenty of empty or poorly utilised space. I really hope they find their way as this place matures. With all that said, at a good price I'd be back here.
