Stayed at a Courtyard in Geneva NY and when I did mobile check-in a couple days before, I was surprised that it said they upgraded me to a 'suite' for my 1 night stay
We have had numerous accounts of upgrades showing on the reservation, which then disappear again before the stay.

I don’t recall anyone reporting having their upgrade taken away after mobile check in.
