Great booking with lots of flights and stopovers included. There is always that tipping point of a short economy flight and the fuel service charge. At some point its better to keep it off itinerary and book separate especially if it can get you down a category of total miles. I hope your back end flights come open in some way to round out the trip. Safe travels.

Things I Learned:
1. ANA currently can't book any SQ J space on a RTW ticket, even regional flights that show up available on the website. This was confirmed to me by multiple agents, and one even read off a specific memo on this that just came into them.
2. Asia-US availability in J is non-existent this summer, I had to book out all the way to September and will probably make it 2 separate trips.
3. GCMap is nearly accurate for estimating distances. My itinerary was 24,830 miles according to GCMap, and ANA also saw it as under 25,000 miles.
4. Booking the itinerary and paying taxes is done on 2 separate calls, they will call you back about a day later. Between these 2 calls, if availability opens up on more desirable flights, you can easily change just those flights. In my case, I was able to switch around my first 2 flight segments without needing to rebook anything else, though taxes were recalculated.
5. My $900 in fees came from a mix of all the segments except AV, as the others all charge some form of fuel surcharges. The fees on LH group carriers are bad even on short-haul segments, but I didn't have much choice within Europe.
