Recently finished a three night stay on points. We originally booked a two queen beds room but on check-in we were asked to switch to a king bed room on the top floor. This request was not phrased as an upgrade but it sure felt like one upon reflection. We later found out that half of the Boardwalk Inn rooms are undergoing renovations, and that is the reason they shuffled us around. I am not sure what their ETA is for finishing the renovations and so you might want to check prior to your stay.

Our room number was 503 and was a great location. It had a balcony and what I would call a partial ocean view. Due to the setup of the Boardwalk Inn, it would be rather difficult to get a true ocean front view. Note although rooms 501 and 503 are close to the elevator, they are sequestered to one side while all of the other rooms on the floor split to the other side. This means that the majority of foot traffic will go in the opposite direction from your room. We found our room to be pretty quiet and I am afraid the majority of the noise disturbance was generated by our little ones.
