Decided to give the hotel a chance for one night next month, after taking the boat from Lombok (I know....).

Emailed the hotel last week to ask a few questions regarding the stay. To my surprise after one week I only got a response that they will forward it to "another department". No response after that.

To me, it's another sign that I better keep my expectations really low with this property.
