We just got back after 8 days in Rome. Most of our meals were at least very good due to carefully curating a rather large list, but the favorites were:
Trattoria Della Stampa, near the Trevi Fountain
Ditirambo, near Campo de’ Fiori
Pizzeria Da Baffetto, a classic Roman pizzeria near Piazza Navona. Maybe a little biased, as it’s always a trip favorite, but really good.
Others we tried to get into but were either not available, did not respond, or were geographically undesirable for where we happened to be. Likely require you to call before you go over to book:
Armando al Pantheon, near the Pantheon
Da Gino al Parlamento, north of the Pantheon behind the Parliament building.
Ristorante La Tavernaccia Da Bruno, further south in Trastavere near Testaccio, but we really wanted to go.
For lunch, I’d recommend you search out a porchetteria or three for a quick bite on the go. And eats lots of gelato.
Have a great trip.
