- Name of the hotel: INK Hotel Amsterdam - MGallery
- What is your ALL status? Diamond
- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes.
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked a classic room and got a two level upgrade to a deluxe room despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked.
- How are the rooms? Rather basic, about 20 sqm. King size bed, Nespresso machine, bathrobe and slippers.
- What was good and what was bad?
Good: The upgrade and the front desk staff.
Bad: Got a dirty towel twice. Hair conditioner wasn’t supplied (out of stock). A strange mix of bath products from different brands. Water wasn’t replenished the second day.
- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? No lounge.
- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? "Welcome gift” was a cloth bag and it’s given to every customers. I let them know what I thought about that and stroopwafels were waiting for me in the room when I returned. Minibar should be free at MGallery but it was empty due to the Covid, of course. Instead, I received a voucher that could be exchanged for two drinks and one snack. A drink voucher was good for any drinks except champagne and spirits. No problems of getting late check-out.
- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? The rates in Amsterdam have gone crazy post pandemic. The Sofitel Legend wanted to charge over 600 eur per night for the cheapest room. Chose MGallery that wasn’t inexpensive either: almost 300 eur per night. I wouldn’t call local Ibis cheap either. But what can you do? Either you pay or stay at home.
