I’m in the exact same situation using my wife’s Amex Bonvoy FNA that’s expiring soon. I simply called the hotel and explained the situation. Im traveling with my wife as the LT platinum member. They talked to management and said they’d honor my platinum benefits such as club lounge access and made a note of it. The only thing I wouldn’t get are points and elite night credits but that’s fine as it’s an award stay.

Not staying until June though so we’ll see if they honor these notes on the reservation 😊.

I've heard the best method is to book a reservation under your name BEFORE the night under your wife and link the reservations. They will almost certainly grant you platinum benefits both nights but you won't get credit for the second night. Doesn't work in my scenario as the night before is like 3x regular rate
