5+ years ago I read in an ORD employee's tabloid newspaper (no, I was NOT an ORD employee) that the ~13:15 UA ORD-IAD flight was just such a flight since it connected so many international pax.

Having flown that flight so many times, I was surprised to have it actually pass many planes waiting for take-off once!
