Can anyone advise:
- Is this option insanely risky?
- If I miss the connection, will IB just put my in an airport hotel and rebook me on the next MAD-JFK flight?
- Is it likely that my checked bags make it to the second fight?
There is only one RAK-MAD flight on IB per day, and there is already the latter of the two daily MAD-JFK flights.
I usually fly through MAD and 55 mins is too risky IMHO. By ht e time you land and deplane most of those 55 mins will have dissapeared and then you have to go through an extra security screening before boarding the JFK flight.
