I believe I've paid 5 times now...
I'm getting quite confused with a booking I made some months ago and hope someone here has some wisdom.
Back in March I booked a simple return trip for two people costing £73.07 each (total £146.14). This charge appeared on my card, and I thought that was it. Fast forward two months later, and a single charge for £73.07 appeared, and an e-ticket email came through. The original charge is still there for £146.14, and according to BA on 2nd May, should have dropped off. It didn't as the booking failed to ticket and they were 'mopping up' incomplete bookings during a brief window bookings were not ticketing automatically. They sent it to the back office to investigate.
Today, another two charges appeared, again for £73.07 each. Both charges have a BA ticket number in the reference, and sure enough match this booking. There have been no changes to this booking and it is a simple LHR - GIB - LHR. I telephoned BA again this morning, and they have suggested I report my card lost as that would stop them charging it. Completely nonsensical behaviour and nobody could explain why I am being charged so frequently.
For what was a simple return booking made online, I've paid now the cost of 5 tickets. £73.07x2 in March, £73.07 two weeks ago, and another £73.07x2 today.
Anybody seen this before?
