I've always had a slick system where I time it right with my Dad and he comes to scoop me up at the drop off spots (we live quite close to LHR & have got a good system down). Since the changes he's been having to faff around coming to the short stay car park to grab me, then I go pay for the ticket etc & its wayyyy less efficient. Presumably if you just pay the £5 charge same as for droppping off the system isn't going to know, or really care if you're in and out fast. Didn't see anything on the signs about fines for that - only just for not paying on drop off... May just risk it and see what happens...
If you're asking whether the automatic cameras would catch you picking someone up, they won't. A human might but not really sure what they can do about it.
