Would it be possible to change FFP and credit flying miles on IB’s or QR’s? If so, will JAL status privileges (lounge access, seat selection, etc) be maintained? / lost?
Incidentally, is there a way to consistently know booking classes prior to purchasing tickets? (some airline/OTA sites offer that kind of information, but more often than not, they do not).

This is mostly a question for the QR forum, as I don't know how they treat a seat selection if it was allowed through status, and that status is not there anymore. Usually accessing the lounge should be fine, just make sure they don't update the program when you enter the lounge. It does happen, and not that rarely.
The QR website is crystal clear on the booking class selected, it is very easy to see. I don't use OTAs, as they are usually more trouble than the money they potentially saves. I book direct with the airlines.
