Amazon is a sieve when it comes to that kind of thing. I’ve got an annual Prime membership and discovered that for a couple of months I was getting dinged for monthly charge to Prime on top of it and getting that unwound took an actual phone call where multiple phone reps could not locate where my card was being used for purchases outside my account at their site.
It was at that point, Amazon’s fraud department was forced to admit that yes, they had a problem and told me if I filed a charge back for the monthly Prime service , there was a note attached to something or other they would not contest said chargeback.
Needless to say, you also want the card to be reissued with a new card number to keep it from happening again.
