If the "cancelled" ride didn't show up in my ride history, how does a "seasoned driver" risk their rating?
If you buy a plane ticket, and then plane assigned to your flight mechanicals and gets replaced by another plane, was your ticket canceled? As far as Lyft is concerned, all drivers are interchangeable; if you didn’t need to rebook the ride wasn’t canceled. The penalty for the driver canceling on you will be directly applied by Lyft, just as it would have had they canceled immediately upon receiving the ride request—and you’d never know about that besides it taking a little longer than usual to find a ride.

Note: If you haven’t already you should request a refund/credit, as an extra 20 minute wait would be considered unreasonable by anyone.
