I had something similar happen in that my reservation was initially declined -- I assume I messed up the expiration date on the CC as my bank also texted me it was declined. So I entered it again correctly and this time it went through. However, rather than seeing the points + $5.60 fee for the taxes and fees on my account, I see that, plus a refund, and then no charge again.

In other words, even though my reservation says _confirmed_ it doesn't look like they actually took any points out of my account as the first time it failed they refunded, and the second time they did not charge. While I wouldn't mind flying for free, I'm more concerned I end up with no seat whatsoever. As usual, hold times to talk to anyone are ridiculous, so not sure what to do here.. cancel my 'free' reservation and rebook again?
