I have flights booked from LHR-DOH, DOH-BNE. Flight numbers for both legs begin with BA. My understanding is that because both flight numbers begin with BA, I will be allowed the BA baggage allowance. I can't add an extra bag online or over the phone because the flights are operated by Qatar Airways and am told that I will need to purchase it at the airport. The price difference is massive between the 2 airlines so would like to know which rates would apply if I were to purchase extra baggage at the airport. I have called both airlines and kept getting different answers. Does anyone have a solid answer for me? Thanks!

Also, when I look on skyscanner, there are options to fly LHR-DOH-BNE same date, same time - one saying Qatar Airways and one saying BA operated by QA but when I click to see more details, the QA option has QR flight numbers and the BA has BA flight numbers. Is this the same flight but with different flight numbers? I am so confused!
