Also to SMK77's point on SQ not selling A fare one way, fair enough. Though an upgrade of an existing flight segment, by virtue of the MySQUpgrade function will always be for a single flight (so kind of always be a one way).

Now without getting into the intricacies of PlusGrade and what functions and features it permits, existing underlying ticket fare is certainly part of the possible parameters so definitely there would be control to say on a U Biz fare upgrade cost is XXXX$ vs. on a D Biz fare it is YYYY$. Anyways, we'll see if SQ will stick to the current approach or revert to bidding again sometime in the future

I shudder to consider how much D to F would have been then - if it was actually a differentiated bid amount . YMMV.
