The Sky Shop is effectively an advance purchase onboard duty free with discounts. I've bought items by credit card and they were hand delivered to me on the plane mid-flight by the flight attendant, hence the need for a booking reference. The same thing will happen when substituting miles for the credit card.

I'm guessing you wanted to buy something and have it delivered to an address instead? Unfortunately that's not possible.
