Funnily enough BA doesn't arrange a codeshare schedule with Finnair or wet lease entire aircraft and crew from Titan, with all of the operational complexity that presents, just to prevent a few requests for Gold Priority Reward..
Clearly that’s not the reason, but given that a wet lease is quite different to the situation with Cittyflyer then Im struggling to see a valid reason not to allow gold priority rewards. Maybe it’s an IT issue, but it can’t be one that is that difficult to over-ride.
